Idara Aguinaga - Dramatic BelCanto Coloratura Soprano and Adjunct Professor at FVCC
will again perform for the Faculty Music Concert Series - March 27th. Her selections include the highly technical world-renowned "Frühlingsstimmen" waltz ("Voices of Spring"), Op. 410 by Johann Strauss II scored for orchestra and solo soprano voice.
This spectacular show piece recently performed at Aguinaga's "Echoes of Carnegie Hall" Concert this past March 1st, demonstrates the amazing vocal agility and gymnastics of her coloratura soprano voice through enormous runs, leaps, and trills and then superbly finishes with the rarely attempted high "F".
She will also be singing the beautiful and enchanting "Flower Duet" from the opera Lakme by Leo Delibes (French: Duo des fleurs / Sous le dôme épais). Ms. Aguinaga will sing this famous duet for sopranos with Nicole S. Sanford (FVCC Instructor and member of the Glacier Chorale).
Performance begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
